Ferris Eugene Booker, President and CEO of F.E. Booker Company, has been active in the construction industry since he was 17 years old. Mr. Booker attended Pensacola High School, Florida State University and graduated with high honors in 1954 from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction.  During the Korean Conflict from 1954 to 1956, he served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Having worked since 1947 as a laborer, timekeeper, labor foreman, carpenters helper, office clerk, job foreman, estimator, project manager, and general manager before forming F.E. Booker Company, he was well prepared by education and practical experience to handle the demands of his positions as President and General Manager of F.E. Booker Company.

Since establishing F.E. Booker Company in 1958, Mr. Booker has assumed a very active role in the construction industry, having served in the following capacities:

Past President and Member, Board of Directors - Associated General Contractors of America, Northwest Florida Chapter.
Past President - Associated General Contractors of America, Florida Council.
National Life Director - Associated General Contractors of America, National Organization.
Charter Member - Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board.
Past Member - Legislative Study Committee on Construction Industry in Florida.
Past Member - Florida Right-To-Work Committee.
Past Chairman, Charter Member - Escambia County Construction Industry Competency Board.

Deeply interested and involved in his community and civic affairs.  Mr. Booker has served on the Board of Directors of:

Mr. Booker is a member of the following: National Rifle Association - Life Member, Unified Sportsmen of Florida, Grand Lodge of Freemasonry of Florida, a 33rd Degree Mason in Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Pensacola Country Club, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, and the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society
